From the Desk of the Principal

We are proud to announce that our new principal is, Mrs. A Strauss. She started her journey with Laerskool Oranjegloed Primary in 2013 of the Intermediate and Senior Phase Head of Department. In 2018 she became Deputy Principal. She has been in education for 29 years. From the first of November 2021 she has been the acting principal and on the first of July 2022 she became the third principal of Laerskool Oranjegloed.

 “I am always an educator first and therefor the academic development of learners will always be my first passion. As a coach, I believe that children need more than just academic development and know that extra-curricular activities plays a valuable role in the social development of our children. Striking a balance between intellectual-, mental-, emotional- and social development of each learner will be a team effort. My hope is that as a team, we will always keep our school’s motto in mind and that we will always serve education to the best of our abilities.

Our school’s motto is: ‘Geared for the future’. Our focus as a team will thus be, to strive to promote inclusive education and development so that our learners are prepared holistically for a dynamic future. We will be able to reach our goal through collaborating and partnering with our parents, business, industry and the local community. I am absolutely looking forward to this new challenge.”
